When JMS left Thor a few months ago citing an unwillingness to participate in the upcoming Siege event, Kieron Gillen filled in on a temporary basis.  Now we have word that the permanent new creative team will be Matt Fraction and John Romita Jr.

I've loved JMS's run on Thor, but assuming Siege doesn't drown the title under the weight of the event, this new team should be excellent.  Fraction is great and his experience working with Ed Brubaker on the recent Immortal Iron Fist should give him a feel for the kind of story he needs to tell in a Thor book, and JRJR is, of course, always excellent and has worked on Thor before.  I'm looking forward to seeing what they're able to do, but I wonder if this means someone else will be taking over writing for Uncanny X-Men.  I'd MUCH rather see Uncanny get a new artist than a new writer.
